Greetings Sharks!
My name is Jon Taylor. I am a 50 year old, (disabled) US Navy veteran from Louisville KY, founder of MrQuickPick™ Lockout Service and author of“Breaking Into Cars for a Living!”.
Every day, thousands of drivers across America lock their keys in their car. While many of these drivers may have some form of auto club membership or roadside assistance service, far more do not and soon find themselves searching on their own for help. Not long ago, a "locked out" driver could simply go through the yellow pages and find a reputable and verified local locksmith to call for assistance. But now, with the extinction of the phone books and the growing prevalence of mobile internet search, you are far more likely to find an overpriced, fly-by-night "shell company" ready and waiting to scam you out of your money with prices all over the board!
In short, my business proposal is branding a reputable national “1-800” service to offer America a simple, honest flat-rate price to unlock any car:

Pre-approved lockout “contractors” would sign-on to perform the actual work, agreeing to provide the flat-rate service for $30 net while paying us $9 per qualified lead. Nice ROI for the contractor compared to many current Internet pay-per-click (PPC) advertising averages for this service/industry.
With an effective national marketing campaign, we could eventually expect an average of 3000-5000+ qualified leads nationally per day (that's up to $45,000+ gross per day). With our main expenses being marketing and dispatch/call center costs, I would be looking for $150,000 to put towards these expenses in exchange for 25% of the business. Our service could easily expand to include changing locks on houses or rekeying existing locks, again with minimal tools and training (as a licensed Realtor, I'm also looking at a national brand "rekey" gift certificate that an agent can offer their home buyers and sellers right at the closing table).
There is no other company offering flat rate national car unlock service at this time. In fact, nothing completely national at all, mostly "mom & pop".
I also propose to train fellow veterans, including disabled like myself, on the "how-to" of unlocking cars and becoming the lockout “contractors” in their own hometowns. I recently started “Vets Unlocking Cars” just for this purpose.
Unlocking cars is not difficult and does not require any expensive tools or the skills of a locksmith. In fact, it is not even traditionally "locksmith" work. With the proper tools and minimal training, practically any car can be unlocked safely and efficiently in under a minute with a $70 lockout kit. It’s not like we're delivering pizzas here, with a storefront and significant overhead. This is an easy $30 net per job for the independent contractor working from his or her home. This is a great opportunity for veterans to fit back into society and provide a much needed service while making decent income, even with certain disabilities.
Overall, this is a triple win: America gets a great price on car unlocking service, veterans (including disabled) can have great employment opportunities and MrQuickPick (and the investors) can create great wealth, while running an honorable service and giving back to local communities!
